Astrology is a qualitative science, based on the mathmatical calculations of planetary movements and interactions. Anyone trying to quantify it or place it in a linear realm is destined for failure. Do not think of the planets as the keepers of our souls and spirits, but as keepers of time, space and opportunity. Understanding when the universe is flowing in your personal direction is a powerful tool which can help you overcome many obstacles: That is IF your GOD/Great Spirit/Cosmic Guru sees fit to allow it. However, even profound insight cannot overcome a life that is lost to selfishness and avarice, or centuries of familial anger, resentment, oppression and hate. We all come to the earth with a spiritual bankbook in the black or in the red. This spiritual bankbook can be explained using most belief systems if you can open your mind and get past whatever dogma was crammed down your throat about religion and the spiritual realm all your life. Astrology can help you develop a NEW and more fluid way of thinking about the universe. I don't know about you, but I am tired of the old ideologies...they just don't work. Astrology does not oppress or persecute as most religions do. Astrology simply gives some semblance of order to the world based on our actions, reactions and the overriding energies of the time. For instance, in Christian tradition we belive GOD knows our soul before we are born. Which means S/He knows that you are a real creep, or a true angel before you ever get here. The great thing is that we all have the free will to overcome much, and it is our task during life to do so. Then, in Christian tradition it follows that GOD will make sure that you "reap what you sow" based on what you deserve given your motives, character and past deeds. Astrology is best used to help you identify and overcome obstacles you have erected in your life based on your personal character flaws and resulting active behaviors. GOD doesn't like to be blamed for things...and the things that happen to us are our own fault. Figure out why. Astrology can help. If, on the other hand, you believe in karma and follow a more Eastern tradition, then you know you build your karma from past actions; and that how you live in this life will determine where and how you spend the next one. Astrology can help you determine how to best rid yourself of poor karma. If you don't believe in any higher entity than yourself...well then you are probably a psychopath or sociopath...or at the very least so full of yourself that you are an empty shell. Not a big fan of the atheist...reeks of Nazis, slaveowners, dictitorial Chinese governments and old, sleazy, Russian regimes. As far as explaining this life...well, a few of us are paying off old debts, and a lucky group of us are cashing in on previous or current deeds of the most heavenly order. All of us are capable of making deposits to nullify our debt in our spiritual bankbook or advance ourselves spirtually. For my fellow Christians, I am speaking of the "Good Works" which will follow you in the Book of Life and determine the Robes you wear in Heaven. The Christian Bible states in I Peter 4:8: And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. We can overcome much in this life just by loving, respecting, validating and helping each other. Astrology is best used for giving us insight into our potential and identifying which path offers us the most evolutionary growth. It is NOT a religion, nor do I believe the planets are in charge of us in any way; we are the captains of our own ships. I belive Jesus Christ is the savior of the world and this entity made the heavens in order to give us a glimpse of what we may expect to encounter in the world at any given time. They are but a tool in our role as "watchers". For all of our sakes, may we each find our personal path of spiritual advancement, whatever it may be: May we all evolve and be blessed.
