![]() 2009 Highlights The first major energy I spotted (and I don’t use a bunch of obscure transit calculations…only the biggies) is an opposition between Saturn and Uranus. This is going to be haunting us to varying degrees until the tail end of July, due to Saturn doing the retro thing. This energy might be described as a time of social unrest and can be exemplified by what we have seen with the unrest in Greece with their youth. The youth (Uranus) are upset with the establishment (Saturn) because they believe the establishment is making up new rules which benefit them. Amazing how often that happens…that those in power decide to implement new rules and regs in order to secure their ideologies, motives and bottom line. This will play out in all of our lives with restrictions going up and rebels getting more overt in calling out those in power for their past track record. Especially when said track record does not show that they have done what they purported to do. The important thing for the rebels to do is to remember that they can’t hurt others in their fight. Just turns them in to the kind of people they say they are against. This is a divisive energy pattern, to say the least. If you have kids…good luck keeping them in line. Especially if they are old enough to have decided they don’t agree with your motives and ideologies. The next pattern is Jupiter quincunx Saturn, which occurs around the 22nd of March. People who thought they were in the midst of balancing power a while ago will conclude now that there is still a need for even more adjustments. Jupiter and Saturn are not really that great of friends anyway, and this energy is less than agreeable. The good thing about it is that if you have been wronged by someone, you could well see them take a dive. I like this energy okay because usually the one who is most judicious wins…as it should be. Those who employ harsh or militaristic methods will lose their credibility when you combine the two major energies I have discussed so far. The end of May has an absolutely wonderful energy…a conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune (this will be with us all year as well to varying degrees due to retrogradation). I LOVE this energy…in the right hands. These two planets represent a big dose of pure faith. At least that is my hope. People believe in you…this is true love…the kind only seen in movies and amongst people willing to do the best they can for others, even at risk to themselves. Again, I adore this energy when it is used rightly. Watch for miracles. Honest…we should see a lot of them. Taken in its lowest form though, it is really creepy. I don’t even want to dwell on the possibilities, but just know that some authority figures have some pretty nasty secrets they will do just about anything to hide. Look particularly to religious figures. Saturn quincunx Neptune will occur around the 12th of September. Again, these energies are not going to get along that well due to the way they have met. In fact, Saturn will do whatever it can to rain on the parade of Neptune here…but Neptune has a direct line to God so big raspberry to Saturn on this one. In a positive light, Saturn will be giving someone’s dreams firm footing from which to operate. And even, miracle of miracles, some strictly Saturn types will turn over a new leaf and start actually believing in a higher power than themselves. This will work both ways too. Some highly idealistic or religious types will become more grounded and able to give their dreams life all on their own without the help from more established types. Remember, Neptune is deceiving and we all must remember that sometimes what we see isn’t what we get…sometimes it is even better. The most gnarly energy of the year, my opinion only, happens in November…a square between Saturn and Pluto. These two planets represent discipline and focus, respectively. You have to have both of these things to succeed in life. However, when mixed this way, you have a situation where too much force can be used and then people get hurt. Overlording will be rampant…liken this energy to Mugabe in Zimbabwe when presented in its worst form. This energy pattern worries me because it is mirrored by the same type of energy due to Pluto being in Capricorn. Every astrologer out there has given their two cents about Pluto going into Cappy, so I won’t be redundant here; just know this isn’t a happy auspice. However, it can be amazingly transformative and it can and will bring about enough power to change said overlording…eventually. Saturn don’t work quick. 2009 Yearly Horoscopes | | 2009 Highlights | Astrology Articles | Aries | Taurus | Gemini | Cancer | Leo | Virgo | Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces | |
